Profile
The primary mission of EID is to enforce inspection, supervision, prosecution, and petition based on environmental regulations. There are around 200 staffpersons working at EID currently, and the division is split into 4 sub-divisions according to regions in Taipei City. EID provides services including the 1999 Citizen Hotline, which operates 24 hours-a-day in 3 shifts to dispatch inspectors to pollution sites immediately. The real-time response service effectively enhances the restraint and improvement of environmental pollution. Furthermore, EID strengthens the service by inspecting and controlling various kinds of pollution sources such as water, noise and airborne pollutants from construction sites, mobile sources, food source sites, and vehicles. Through the processes of initial inspection, advising, and applying penalties, we are able to control  pollution sources and achieve a high-quality and healthy environment for all citizens.

(1) By driving:

1. From National Highway No.3 Taipei City Connective Route, come down at Wanfang Interchange heading Muzha, Shenkeng. When encountering the traffic light, turn left to section 5 of Muzha Rd., head to the grand chimney with giraffe painting for about 400m, then turn left uphill to our plant.
2. At Yuanshan Interchange of National Highway No.1, turn to Jianguo Expressway and come down at the end; pass Xinhai Rd., come up National Highway No.3; come down at Wanfang Interchange heading Muzha & Shenkeng. By the traffic light, turn left to Sec. 5, Muzha Rd., head to the chimney directly for about 400m; then turn left uphill to our plant.
(2) By Bus:
1. Take Bus No. 236, 282, 556, 679, 912 get off at [ Wanfu Bridge], then walk 8 min. heading to the chimney to our plant.
2. Take Bus No. 251, 252, 660, Brown18, Brown21 or Green1, get off at [Shibikeng], then walk 12 min. heading to the chimney to our plant.
(3) By MRT:
Take MRT Wenshan-Neihu Line (Wenshu Line), get off at [MRT Taipei Zoo Station], then walk 20 min. heading to the chimney to our plant.
