- Guidance to industries and businesses for improving energy saving efforts
- Method: Businesses with registered capital of NTD 80 million or above in Taipei City in 2014, having spent NTD 500 thousand or above on improving energy-saving engineering or replacement of energy-saving equipment, and with the rate of energy saving reaching 20% or above, are eligible to apply for up to 30% subsidy for engineering improvement costs. For businesses with registered capital below NTD 80 million in Taipei City, having spent over NTD 10 thousand in improvement cost, and having achieved over 20% in the rate of energy saving, are also eligible to apply for up to 40% subsidy in engineering improvement costs.

- In-door temperature measurement and inspections on illumination facility for business locations and offices
- Method: Perform checks and inspections on every major business district in the City during the summer, and educate the public about proactive measures to save energy and reduce carbon emissions
◎ Prevent cool air (air-conditioning) leakage
◎ Adjust the temperature of air conditioning for summer (26~28℃)
◎ No lights during the day in the arcade and corridor
◎ Use high-efficiency or power-saving lamps (60-75% of saving rate)
◎ No use of incandescent light bulbs
- Results: 89.6% of air conditioning are well enclosed from leakage; 98.5% of average indoor temperature of air conditioning are 26℃ or above. And using of high-efficiency lamps is 68.5%.
