February 21,2017Nayib Armando Bukele Ortez, Mayor of Taipei City’s sister city San Salvador, El Salvador, attended the 2017 Asia Pacific Cities Summit and paid an official visit to the Taipei City Government.
February 23,2017Alexey Khandarkhaev, Deputy Mayor of Taipei City’s sister city Ulan-Ude, the Republic of Buryatia, attended the 2017 Asia Pacific Cities Summit and paid an official visit to the Taipei City Government.
March 3,2017The Temporary Measures Governing the Procurement and Rental and Dispatch Management of Official Vehicles for the Taipei City Government was announced.
March 4,2017An event was held from March 4th to 5th, where Mayor Ko led 32 top-ranking executives from the Taipei City Government to visit Tainan and gain a better understanding of local culture, history, agriculture, and the local economy. Another purpose of this event was to market the 2017 Taipei Summer Universiade.
March 16,2017The Promotional Project Concerning the Taipei City Government’s Process Streamlining and Organization Restructuring (2015-2017) was amended and the content of the project was adjusted to reinforce its effectiveness.
March 16,2017The Continued Project for Reducing the Length of Official Documents and Expanding Authorized Division of Labor for the Taipei City Government was launched. This project is centered on reviewing the process for handling official documents. The average flat rate for official documents that are approved and stamped is 94.8%.
March 17,2017The City Hall Management Office received an AED certification.
March 26,2017Mayor Ko led a delegation to visit Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Bangkok (Thailand), and New Delhi (India) from March 26th to April 2nd to promote tourism in Taipei City and to market the 2017 Taipei Summer Universiade.
March 28,2017Since the Taipei City Government launched the 2017 Implementation Plan Concerning the Promotion of Electronic Official Documents to Reduce Carbon Emissions, 81.76% of official documents are signed and approved electronically, and 93.51% are now held over the internet, thereby effectively achieving the objectives of policies related to carbon and paper reduction.

May 18,2017The City Hall Management Office allocated 4,473 personnel in response to the 2017 Wan-An No. 40 Air Defense Drill in Northern Taiwan.
June 5,2017The Taipei City Government’s Supply Tender for Rental and Contracted Taxis From July 2017 to April 2018 was completed.
June 19,2017The Mayor led a delegation from June 19th to 21st to Turin, Italy and participated in the 2017 Taipei Summer Universidad Torch Lighting Ceremony and visited important urban infrastructures.
June 20,2017The Unified Bidding Center, which was built during the outsourcing project for the construction of Taipei City Hall’s Conference Room Area and Unified Bidding Center organized by the City Hall Management Office, was officially opened.
June 24,2017Mayor Ko led 35 top-ranking executives from the Taipei City Government to visit Taoyuan and gain a better understanding of the municipal governance and venues for the 2017 Taipei Summer Universiade. Another purpose of this event was to market the 2017 Taipei Summer Universiade.

A clause governing the payment standards for the management fees of the Management Guidelines for Establishing Faculty Dormitories in Schools Affiliated with the Taipei City Government was amended.
July 19,2017The Taipei City Government’s Secretariat examined international affairs-related documents dating between 1956 and 1991, after which the National Archives Administration, National Development Council, listed 22 documents as national documents, thereby elevating the effectiveness of document screening and national document examinations.
August 2,2017The Taipei City Government and a representative of Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, signed an MOU on exchange and training programs for civil servants.
August 9,2017The Taipei City Government recommended the Datong District Household Registration Office to participate in the 15th Golden Archives Award; the Datong District Household Registration Office was given an award for document management.
August 18,2017Delegations from Taipei’s 15 sister cities attended the opening and closing ceremony of the 2017 Taipei Summer Universiade and visited important urban infrastructures during August 18th – 31st. Attending representatives included Mayor Ladie N. Jack from Majuro in the Marshall Islands, Mayor Kwon Young-jin of South Korea’s Daegu City, Mayor Mario Anibal Ferreiro Sanabria from Paraguay’s Asuncion, and vice governor of South Korea’s Jeju Province, Jun Sung-tae (Fig. 6).

September 20,2017The Project Concerning the Establishment of Emergency Intercom Equipment in Taipei City Hall, organized by the City Hall Management Office, was launched.
October 20,2017Taipei City and Ehime Prefecture extended the Friendship Accord between Taipei City and Matsuyama City.
December 14,2017Guidelines Governing the Taipei City Government’s Operations for Electronic Official Document Exchange were amended; legal entities and non-legal entities registered in Taipei City can now apply for electronic exchange services.
December 25,2017On the third anniversary of the day that Mayor Ko took office, a press conference titled “A Proud City with Progressive Values” was held, where the Mayor recounted the administrative achievements of the Taipei City Government team over the past three years.
December 27,2017The Taipei City Government’s Electronic Bulletin Website was completed.
December 27,2017The Guidelines Concerning File Management Operations for the Taipei City Government were amended and announced, and the Guidelines Concerning the Electronic File Storage and Retrieval Operations for the Taipei City Government was suspended.
