The Department of Civil Servant Development (DCSD), Taipei City Government, receives the highest quality certificate for training courses, bringing its digital learning achievement to new heights.
To respond to the implementation of Environmental Education Law and also allow more people to understand the facts about global warming, the DCSD produced the on-line course “The mission of fighting global warming: the key actions for a better earth” and has been awarded the “AAA on-line course certificate” issued by the e-Learning Quality Service Center, ranking the highest in training course qualifications.
The DCSD runs the Taipei e-Campus website, which provides citizens with state-of-the-art e-learning environment. Each year the DCSD produces many fascinating digital animated course materials, and has won numerous awards issued by e-Learning Quality Service Center throughout the years. Apart from six AA certified on-line courses, in response to the implementation of Environmental Education Law, we also invited Ye Xin-Cheng, the Deputy Director of Environmental Protection Administration under the Executive Yuan, to lecture on the on-line course: “The mission of fighting global warming: the key actions for a better Earth.” This course has received the highest quality certificate issued by the e-Learning Quality Service Center for training courses. Because of its inspirational instruction strategy and exquisite media production, this course has honorably further received “the Best on-line Course Award in 2012” issued by the e-Learning Quality Service Center.
The DCSD pointed out that following the implementation of Environmental Education Law, civil servants are required to partake at least four hours of environmental-education course every year. Members of Taipei e-Campus who complete this course will receive 2-hour credit certificate in environmental education. Of course, the course is also available to the general public, with the aim of improving public awareness of environmental sustainability.
The Taipei e-Campus website currently provides more than 800 free on-line courses for members to browse online, and welcomes the interested public to attend the courses on-line.
