2010 Open Professional Ballroom Dance Championship Asian Tour Taipei Open

2010 Open Professional Ballroom Dance Championship Asian Tour Taipei Open is the pride of Taiwan and a great event comparable to the international F1 race. Many talented professional dancers from 25 countries worldwide, including the world’s top 12 will congregate at the Taipei Arena on March 6th, 2010 to compete for the Championship with a total prize pool of NT$3300,000.

A dance feast suitable for both young and old will be performed at the pre-tournament press conference on February 4th on the first floor of the Taipei Gymnasium. The feast presents the young and energetic Latin group dance relay, the skillful performance from the Taiwanese professional dance team, and an unbelievable performance from Taiwan’s youngest primary school division champion, as well as a 76-year-old but still robust retired bank manager.

It is noted that the Taiwanese dancers are very likely to enter the Asia Professional Open Division Finals. For the Latin dance, The country’s current top 3 teams will attend the pre-tournament press conference. They are the most outstanding Latin dancers, Ji-long Chen and Jhu-jun Shen (co-representative of The World Games 2009 Kaohsiung with Tiger Chen-min Wang), Yu-hong Wang and Wan-ru Siao, along with Jun-ren Hsu and Wan-ling Ho. In modern dance, the champions of the 2009 Asia Integral Ballroom Dance Competition, Yung-ciang Ho and Yin-chu Chang (teacher of the well-known Taiwan TV hostess Small S), and the champions of the 2008 Asia Integral Ballroom Dance Competition, Ching-huan Lin and Wen-hua Jih, will also attend the pre-tournament press conference. Their attendance will stimulate excitement and furor before the competition commences.

Let us look forward to this great upcoming event and together we will encourage our Taiwanese dancers!
