Hakka Religious Activity- Ceremony of the Three Mountain Kings

Legend has it that the Three Mountain Kings are the guardians of Hakka people. The Three Mountain Kings, by order, are Jin Mountain, Ming Mountain, and Du Mountain. This religious activity is typically participated by Hakka people who are from what was once the ancient Guangdong area in China. Wherever the Hakka stay, they build temples to worship the Three Mountain Kings.
Hakka Affairs Commission of Taipei City Government(HAC) holds the devoted religious ceremony to demonstrate the respect for the Kings on 22nd March. HAC have invited the Three Mountain Kings from Guang-ho Temple in Xinbu township, Hsinchu County to join this special occasion. In addition to the ritual, HAC will also hold the Coming of age Ceremony to present three key spirits of Hakka People, fitness, courage and responsibility, through the traditional activities. Moreover, there is Hakka Market Promotion of Hakka Groceries from Xinbu Township all day long, which is one of the most traditional Hakka settlements.
