Hakka Healthy Senior Feast developed from the series of activities of the birthday ceremony of Bagon (the Earth God). The idea stems from the general family using the sacrifice to cook a big meal after the ceremony. There are two significant aspects related to it: one is to share the blessings from God with family. The other is frugality. Taipei Hakka Affairs Commission (THAC) invites some famous Hakka restaurants to design many dishes that combine various fresh ingredients with a Hakka theme. Healthy, fresh and Hakka Style are three main elements of this feast; all the meals are made especially suitable for older people.
