April 1969
Under the direction of Executive Secretary Chang-Ching Wang and Deputy Executive Secretary W. K. Liu, the “Taipei Sewerage Planning Group” of the International Economic Cooperation Committee authorized the Chinese Institute of Engineers to recruit 58 engineers, The Taipei Sewerage Planning Group was terminated in June of 1972.

July 1972
“The Taipei Sewerage Systems Office” under the auspices of the “Taipei Tap-water & Sewerage System Construction Committee” was founded by Taipei City Government in January of 1977 with 60 employees.

With the deactivation of the “Taipei Tap-water & Sewerage System Construction Committee”  the “Sewerage Systems Office” was transformed into a subordinated of the “Public Works Department of Taipei City Government” and continued to be directed by Director W. K. Liu with a total of 112/ workers employees in the following sections: the Design Section, the Public Works Section, the Supply Section, the Operation Management Section, the Sewage Treatment Plant, the Maintenance Engineering Group, the General Affairs Office, the Personnel Office and the Personnel Office (2).

1985
The Supply Section was deactivated and the Planning Section was established to implement organizational  changes that matched the increasing requirements of public affairs.

1989
The organization was expanded and 30 workers were added to comprise a total of 142 employees..

1995
Expansion of organizations including the Planning Section, the Design Section, the Public Works Section, the Operation Management Section, the First Sewage Treatment Plant, the Second Sewage Treatment Plant, the Maintenance Engineering Group, the Facilities Management Section, the Labor Security Office, the Systems Administration Section, the Administrative Services Office, the Accounting Office, the Government Ethics Office, the Personnel Office with an increase of the number of employees  to 182 (40 extra people added) in accordance with the Executive Yuan’s authorization for the running and management of the sewage piping system.

March 22, 2004
The expansion of organizations including the Design Section, Public Works Section, the Operation Management Section, the  Engineering Operation Assurance Section, the Maintenance Section, the Facilities Management Section, the Neihu Sewage Treatment Plant, the Dihua Sewage Treatment Plant, the Bali Sewage Treatment Plant, the Systems Administration Section, the  Administrative Services Office,the  Accounting Office, the Government Ethics Office, the  Personnel Office with the increase itn the number of employees increased to 197 (an extra 15 persons were added) for running the Neihu Sewage Treatment Plant and adjusting to administrative tasks.
