Changde Street Underground Pedestrian Passage Project

This project involves the construction of an underground pedestrian passage, measuring about 195 meters in length, 6 meters in width, and 4 meters in height, completed on February 16, 2024.

In response to Taipei's transition into an aging society, this project aims to improve the pedestrian environment between NTU Hospital (East Campus) and the MRT NTU Hospital Station. It's also part of the broader pedestrian improvement initiative under the government’s West District Gateway Project. With the opening of the Changde Street underground pedestrian passage, people can now easily move between the metro station and the NTU Hospital (East Campus), diverting foot traffic from Gongyuan Road to Changde Street. This offers pedestrians a safer, more friendly and convenient accessible passageway.
