Functions and responsibilities
1. Vocational training
(1) Planning and carrying out vocational training programs emphasizing “train and employ.”
(2)Publicizing, providing guidance on and subsidizing professional licensing examinations.
(3)Reviewing and distributing living allowance, tuition and material fees to trainees.
2. Employment service
(1)Conducting survey of aborigines job seekers and creating a database.
(2)Providing employment consultation and services to indigenous people.
(3)Providing job placement service and carrying out other matters that promote the employment of indigenous people.
3. Business assistance
(1)Assisting in the application for Indigenous Peoples Development Fund.
(2)Providing business guidance, and business management technical services to indigenous people.
(3)Reviewing the application for and distributing interest subsidy on loans.
(4)Public marketplace booth referral and registration.
4. Industrial development
(1)Providing guidance on the establishment of indigenous peoples cooperative.
(2)Operating and managing aboriginal flagship shops.
(3)Promoting and developing the aboriginal cultural industry.
