"2024 Taipei Summer Festival" will grandly launch on July 17 at Dadaocheng Wharf (Yanping Riverside Park)! The Taipei City Government Department of Information and Tourism has planned 4 themed fireworks shows and 5 musical performances. In addition, in collaboration with Blue Waterway operators, participants will receive a limited "Blue Waterway Ticket 100 NTD Discount Voucher" to enjoy Taipei cityscape from a different perspective. Moreover, the "Taipei Photography Season 2024 Dadaocheng Summer Festival Photography Contest" invites photography enthusiasts to capture the most brilliant and exciting Taipei scenery this summer.

The Department of Information and Tourism introduces that from day to night, the Tamsui River showcases different beautiful views. Besides strolling or biking along the riverside, people can also choose to cruise on the Blue Waterway, exploring the riverside scenery and discovering Taipei's beauty from a different angle. This year, by following the "Humans of Taipei 我是台北人" Facebook page and joining the Taipei City Government LINE official account, participants can redeem the "Blue Waterway Ticket 100 NTD Discount Voucher" at the service desk at Gate 5 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM daily from July 17 to August 9. There are 500 vouchers available, first come, first served.

The Department recommends starting your trip by savoring nostalgic snacks in Dadaocheng, visiting Dihua Street and cultural shops, touring historical buildings, and then embarking on a Blue Waterway journey with friends at sunset. Enjoy the lights along the riverbank and the stunning night sky, capturing the city's beauty from a unique angle.

Photography enthusiasts should not miss the "Taipei Photography Season 2024 Dadaocheng Summer Festival Photography Contest." The Department of Information and Tourism explains that during the event, you can participate in the Taipei Camera Street Photography Contest by capturing photos with fireworks at Dadaocheng Wharf or scenes of cultural activities and street views in surrounding areas (Beimen Business District, Ningxia Night Market, Yanping 3rd Night Market). Winners will receive generous prizes, and winning works may be displayed in light boxes within Taipei MRT stations.

The Department of Information and Tourism reminds that this year's event content surpasses previous years, expecting large crowds. They urge the public to use public transportation to attend.
