Revitalizing Venues, Encouraging Public Good: The Latest Trendy Personalized EasyCard Machine Installed at the Department for Youth Building

To kick off its venue optimization plan and introduce more trendy and popular elements, the Department for Youth has partnered with the EasyCard Corporation to install a cutting-edge “Personalized EasyCard Machine” in the lobby of the Department for Youth building. On August 24th, Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an visited the site to experience the service firsthand, creating two customized EasyCards: one with a family photo and another with a picture of himself and Department for Youth Commissioner Yin Wei, which was presented to Commissioner Yin as a memento. Mayor Chiang also extended an invitation to all citizens to visit the Department for Youth building (Y17, No. 17, Ren'ai Road, Section 1) to create their own unique EasyCards.

Mayor Chiang shared that his wife had previously taken their child, Ollie, to experience the personalized EasyCard service at an MRT station. Ollie was fascinated by the EasyCard featuring his own photo, which was very cute. During his visit to the Department for Youth, Chiang customized two EasyCards: one featuring a family dinner photo with the addition of their other child, Duo Duo. Chiang expressed his fondness for the finished cards and mentioned that he would use them regularly. He also made a special EasyCard for Commissioner Yin, recalling a humorous instance where Yin had gifted him an EasyCard with the playful phrase “See how much you can do” during a tea party with the Wei Chuan Dragons' cheerleader Li Duo-hui.

Revitalizing Spaces: Department for Youth Creates a Dynamic Youth Venue

Mayor Chiang emphasized that the installation of the machine is just the first step in revitalizing city venues. The aim is to integrate public services into the daily lives of young people and increase their engagement with government initiatives. He also proposed adding a slide to the Department for Youth building to create a playful space for children and add some fun to the office area. This would not only provide a new recreational space for kids but also enhance the appeal of the Department for Youth. Commissioner Yin responded positively, stating that plans would include such space revitalization efforts, continuing to foster family-friendly environments and enhancing the building’s facilities. Future plans also include organizing weekend markets and collaborating with youth creative teams to make the Department for Youth building more engaging and relevant to young people’s needs.

Encouraging Public Good: Giveaway of 50 Personalized EasyCards

To align with the machine’s installation, the Department for Youth will launch the “Taipei Youth Life Heroes” campaign, giving away 50 personalized EasyCards for free. This initiative aims to recognize and encourage young individuals who excel in various fields. The campaign is divided into five categories: “Environmental Heroes,” “Volunteer Heroes,” “Animal Heroes,” “Parenting Heroes,” and “Long-term Care Heroes.” Ten winners in each category will receive a free personalized EasyCard.

The “Taipei Youth Life Heroes” campaign will commence on June 28th, featuring a “like” competition on social media. Participants are invited to post photos or videos related to the campaign’s themes and the top ten posts with the most likes in each category will win a free personalized EasyCard.
