Taipei Fine Arts Museum

The third “Meet Tainan in Taipei” exhibition kicked off in the A11 building at Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi New Life Square on July 29. Taipei Mayor Hau Lung-bin and Tainan Mayor Hsu Tain-tsair appeared at the press conference to promote the tasty snacks of the historical city in southern Taiwan.
Mayor Hsu expressed his gratitude to Hau for attending the event. He stressed that the exhibition is an opportunity for Taipei residents to experience Tainan snacks at “the local price of Tainan.” In addition, Hsu promised his counterpart to support the 2010 Taipei International Garden and Horticulture Exposition by arranging the appearance of Tainan’s Ten Drum Art Percussion Group. He also invited Hau to visit Tainan on a three-day vacation.
Hau said Mayor Hsu has been his old friend since the days in the Legislative Yuan. He thanked the visiting mayor for bringing some of the best of Tainan to Taipei and supporting the upcoming flower expo with the appearance of the percussion group.
He remarked that Tainan is a historical city and the root of many aspects of Taiwan’s culture. According to Hau, he has heard that Tainan has changed much over the past eight years, becoming more beautiful and doing a fine job in urban renewal. He hopes he will have a chance to visit Tainan and further strengthen the exchange between the two cities.
