The Department of Social Welfare, Taipei City Government, announced to purchase Moon festival gifts. Students of Taipei City Yangming Home for the Disabled produced the festival gift for elders who live along. Public section and enterprise help vulnerable people together to have a wonderful Moon Festival
Taipei City Yangming Home for the Disabled, the only institution for disabled held by government in Taipei, received a special order for 60 boxes of pineapple cake from Good-Choice Enterprise co., Ltd. The corporation assigned the boy scouts of Taipei City Yangming Home for Disabled to send the gifts to elders who live along and vulnerable families in the community, in order to help people in need together to celebrate a Moon festival full of public welfare. In the press conference, the deputy mayor, Chou Li-Fang, commissioner of Department of Social Welfare, Taipei City Government, Hsu Li-Min, director of Shilin Social Welfare Service Center, Hsu Chia-Ni, principal of Taipei City Yangmin Home for the Disabled, Yu Yi Jun, Sunshine Social Welfare Foundation, Foundation of Autistic Children and Adults in Taiwan and Down Syndrome Foundation R.O.C promoted the Moon Festival gift together. They hope people to understand that mental disabled can do much more than just receiving help from others. Groups of disable asked people to support the event together.
