Legislative amendment for Domestic Violence Prevention Act Article 63-1 was made; restraining order can be applied to violent lovers

    Taipei City Center for Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault held a press conference on White Day (March 14th), 2016. The press conference focused on the legislative amendment for the Domestic Violence Prevention Act Article 63-1 which was implemented on February 4th, 2016. This amendment provides protective measures such as restraining order for citizens under the physical, violence, psychological abuse, stalking, harassment, intimidation by violent lovers. Also, the Act aims to prevent regrets and terror due to intimate relationship violence, and to intervene intimate relationship violence in young generation at the early stage, offering a safer and more thorough protection for personal safety.
