To jointly create a blueprint of poverty alleviation, Taipei city and New Taipei City exchange the experience of poverty reduction
Since the beginning of 2000, Department of Social Welfare, Taipei City Government has been working on the " Poverty Reduction program ", which is based on the concept of employment independence, assets accumulation, educational investment and social participation to avoid the cycle of generational poverty, and promote the future development opportunities for low-income and middle-low-income households. Representatives of the Taipei City and the New Taipei City Government communicate on poverty reduction experience.
On September 26, 2016, The Taipei City Government and the New Taipei City Government collaboratively held the "Experience Sharing Conference on Poverty Reduction Program". Through the cross-city exchange of experience, the conference was to enhance the effectiveness of poverty reduction program and jointly promote the econnomically disadvantaged people in achieving poverty eradication.
