Department of Social Welfare, Taipei City Government started up the Anti-Cold Project.
In response to cold current on February 9, Department of Social Welfare, Taipei City Government started up the Anti-Cold Project. We set up a Response Team and a 24-hour reporting telephone line. Our social workers of 12 Social Welfare Service Centers and 14 Senior Citizens Service Centers mobilized overall to visit elderly living alone and the homeless people. If any emergency, we will provide necessary assistance immediately. Our commissioner visited the homeless people staying in the temporary shelters.
